Born in 1944 in Mar del Plata (Argentina), Elsa Justel obtained a Professor Diploma in Music Education and Choral conducting at the Conservatory of Mar del Plata. She studied composition at the University of Rosario with Virtú Maragno and electroacoustic music in Buenos Aires with José Maranzano and Francisco Kröpfl. In 1998 she moves to France where she graduated with a Doctorate in Esthetics, Sciences and Technologies of Arts at the Université de Paris VIII, under the direction of Horacio Vaggione. Elsa Justel has also realized audiovisual projects and music for films and the stage.
