The German commercial sound-effects record, Ariola's answer to the BBC series: Geräusche ("noises"), volume three, a catalogue of domestic, industrial and traffic sounds for theatre groups, radio amateurs and, the sleeve implies, anyone wishing to frighten a neighbour. The German ones are drier than the BBC's, recorded with a documentary literalness that suits the material.
Records like this were the sample library before samplers, and the third volume of a series suggests a market that kept coming back. Ariola pressing.
