Two pivotal electronic / musique concrète pieces realized ant the GRM in the 60's and released on Philips' silver covers "Prospective 21e Siècle" series in 1969. Beautiful and essential.

condition (record/cover): NM / NM - Hétérozygote / J'ai Été Coupé on Philips documents Luc Ferrari's first break with GRM orthodoxy. "Heterozygote" announces hybridization in the title itself: materials of different provenance coupling without fusing, each maintaining its own genetic identity.

"J'ai été coupé" means both "I was cut" and "I was cut off" (as on a telephone). Ferrari loved such ambiguities. Interrupted communication, fragments that don't reassemble, editing that displays its own seams: his entire aesthetic program fits in that title. Philips published these works in its prestige series, betting on a curious audience that perhaps didn't yet exist. The gamble paid off decades later, when Ferrari's heresies became history.
