*100 copies limited edition* We are repentlessly thrilled to bring you the first reissue of Tercer Milenio, probably the best hard rock/heavy prog album released in the prolific Argentina 70’s scene. This is a more mature and tighter effort compared to Orion’s Beethoven’s debut Superangel that places them in the spotlight of heavy prog/proto metal. The album’s opening blaster Amistades Desparejas establishes very clear expectations about what is to follow: a tapestry of scorching riffs and acid-drenched solos, melodic intermezzos that succumb to fiendish vocals and stodgy b-lines of pure hard prog pedigree, verging on epically sinister proto metal.
Just picture a jam session between High Tide and Black Widow or Uriah Heep with Pentagram. Each track has its own identity and adds something different to the entire work. The 8-minute long self-titled track is a doomy procession that puts the utopian metaphorical transposition of highness to eternal slumber, underscored by an authentically uncompromising, raw and unpolished production that catapults enflamed rocks to your cochlea. Of equal duration, Viaje combines symphonic and psychedelic elements against a hard substrate, while the hard rocker Hermano Silencio concludes the album full-circle mode with an overriding sticky riff that just screams for more.
