1968 US re-press on Impulse!/ABC of the 1966 album featuring Pharoah Sanders, Jimmy Garrison, Elvin Jones, Rashied Ali and McCoy Tyner.

condition (record/cover): VG+ (surface noise at the beginning of side 1) / VG+ (general wear)

Gatefold sleeve.

Second copy of the US Impulse! edition, because this is not a record we like to be without. John Coltrane and Pharoah Sanders in full cry, Elvin Jones and Rashied Ali both at the kit - the old order and the new order playing simultaneously, which is exactly what late 1965 sounded like from inside the Coltrane band. Some of the most overwhelming ensemble music of the sixties, structured as a single spiritual journey from ecstatic violence to hard-won peace. A record that demands total attention and gives back more than almost anything in the catalog. If your copy is worn, here is the solution.
