The title alone - rendered in Punjabi, Dutch, Hindi, Icelandic, and Hebrew scripts, all spelling out variations of the word "channel" - signals that we are entering territory where conventional categories dissolve. This extraordinary summit meeting brings together three of the most distinctive voices in contemporary experimental music: Charlemagne Palestine, the grand patriarch of drone and sustained tone; Oren Ambarchi, whose guitar work has influenced countless artists across multiple genres; and Eric Thielemans, the Belgian percussionist whose delicate touch has graced recordings by Jasper Van't Hof, John Zorn, and many others.

What emerges from this collaboration is a music of remarkable fluidity and grace, three strong personalities finding common ground in a shared commitment to deep listening and patient exploration. Palestine's keyboard work anchors the proceedings in rich, sustained harmonies, while Ambarchi's guitar textures shimmer and pulse around the edges, and Thielemans provides subtle rhythmic undertow that never overwhelms but always propels. The concept of the "channel" - as conduit, as medium, as frequency - permeates the music, suggesting transmission from elsewhere, messages received and transformed.

This is improvisation at its highest level, musicians responding to each other in real time with the accumulated wisdom of decades of practice and performance. The clear blue vinyl is a thing of beauty, a physical object worthy of the sounds it contains.
