Original and sole edition on PDU of solo music for piano and trumpet by the seminal Italian jazz musician. Never re-issued on either LP or CD.

PDU, the label founded in Lugano by Mina (!) and her father, is about the last place one would expect to find Italian free jazz. Yet this solo record by the Milanese trumpeter Guido Mazzon was recorded in Lugano in October 1975 and came out on PDU.
The eleven titles read like a notebook of the period: Jazz, Solo, Sovrastruttura, Tema Per Il "Che", two Ballate, and a closing Uffa. Mazzon played trumpet in the Gruppo Contemporaneo and later in the Italian Instabile Orchestra, and here he works without any accompanist at all.
